With the sustained and rapid development of China’s economy, fashion and luxury companies in China ranging not only from textiles to perfumes, cosmetics, jewelry, eyewear and home furnishings, but also to IT, media, finance and entertainment, distribution and public relations are all committed to the pursuit of excellence in brand management, product strategy, and creative design. A long established major manufacturing center, China is now becoming a leading market for fashion and luxury brands.
To promote international exchange in fashion, luxury and other relevant industries and to accelerate the training of leaders and advanced managerial talents in China’s fashion and luxury industry, the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, the Institut Français de la Mode (IFM, the Paris-based center of training and expertise in fashion, luxury and design) and HEC Paris (the leading European business school) co-organized and launched the ADVANCED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM IN FASHION & LUXURY in 2006.
Since its inception, the AMP has trained over 200 managers, representing a dynamic network throughout China. Participants and alumni come from companies like Lancôme (L’Oréal), Fiyta (watches), Lalique, Li Ning, Lufthansa Shopping Center, Publicis, Camaïeu, Mark Zhang, Shanghai Qinyi Garment, 21st Newspaper Chain, Fashion Group, Huaxie Group, SOHU Net.
